# What is Zion Exchange?

Zion Exchange is a next-generation trading protocol enabling seamless access to all markets through a single decentralized infrastructure.

## Core Team

The core team brings extensive experience across both centralized and decentralized finance (CeFi & DeFi). Team members have worked within leading Tier-1 crypto exchanges and ecosystems such as *<mark style="color:$success;">HTX</mark>*, *<mark style="color:$success;">KuCoin</mark>*, *<mark style="color:$success;">OKX</mark>*, *<mark style="color:$success;">Bitget</mark>*, and *<mark style="color:$success;">BNB Chain</mark>*, and previously held roles in traditional finance at *<mark style="color:$success;">ING Bank</mark>* in treasury banking and private fund management.

During the 2024–2025 Perp DEX meta cycle, the team actively participated as traders on leading on-chain perpetual exchanges, ranking among the top 100 users on several platforms and gaining early exposure to the emerging DeFi derivatives landscape.

These hands-on insights into trading behavior, liquidity dynamics, and incentive mechanisms directly inform the design and development of Zion.
